GDF conducts technical assistance and monitoring survey
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND - The GDF is currently finalizing the results of a technical assistance and monitoring survey conducted between April and June 2005.
The survey assessed the outcomes and perceptions of current GDF monitoring activities and gaps in national procurement systems that continue to challenge NTPs. The survey also investigated the risks and potential impacts of expanding GDF services to include brokerage of technical assistance in drug management.
The results pointed to a widespread interest and need among NTPs for additional technical assistance. Based on feedback from partners and programmes, the GDF is now working with its TRC to develop a strategy for a technical assistance service line.
The GDF wishes to thank the 32 NTP managers and partners who participated in the survey. For further information about potential technical assistance brokered through the GDF, contact gdf@who.int.
