Funding Gap by Area of Activity
Successful global TB control requires investment in treatment, advocacy, technical cooperation, and research and development.
The estimated funding gap is US$30.8 billion for the areas of activities of the Stop TB Partnership's Working Groups: DOTS expansion, DOTS-Plus, TB/HIV, advocacy, communication, and social mobilization (ACSM), and research and development for new drugs, vaccines and diagnostic tests.
The estimated funding gaps of the three implementation Working Groups (DOTS expansion, DOTS-Plus, and TB/HIV) and ACSM Working Group is US$24.7 billion.
