Additions and Updates
The Stop TB Partnership launched its Global Plan to Stop TB, 2006-2015 in January 2006. The Global Plan represents a consensus of the Partners on the strategic direction that must be taken by the seven working groups of the Partnership. The Global Plan sets out how the Stop TB Strategy will be implemented in order to reach the Partnership's targets of halving TB prevalence and deaths compared with 1990 levels and reducing incidence in line with the Millennium Development Goals.
Some Working Groups and other components of the Partnership have updated their Strategic Plans, fleshing out sections of the strategy segment of the Global Plan, or adding new elements to the Strategic Plan section of the document. These updates ensure that the Global Plan is a living document, keeping pace with changes in the global environment, in the evolution of the epidemic and in the structure and function of the Partnership and its component parts. Information on the evolution of the Global Plan and on plans for reporting progress in implementation are available in Status Reports through this web site.
