Government of France increases funding for TB control in francophone Africa
The government of France has tripled the support it provides to the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease for its work on tuberculosis in francophone Africa. The three-year €3 million grant from the Agence Française de Développement targets TB control in Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo and Togo. The funds will support technical assistance and education on TB, prevent the spread of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and strengthen the network of francophone TB experts.
