Update on the election of the Stop TB Partnership Coordinating Board TB-affected communities representative

The election for the seat of TB-affected communities' representative on the Stop TB Partnership Coordinating Board has been temporarily suspended.

The main reason for suspending the election is that only two of the four people nominated met the criteria for election, as was set forth in the election announcement.

The Secretariat failed to catch this discrepancy before announcing nominees, and expresses its regrets to all concerned for this error.

Suspending the election at this point enables us to make this very crucial process more inclusive; representative of relevant partners in this constituency; and transparent, ensuring that the voices of those that matter most are heard.
