New fellowship offers young scientists an opportunity to learn research techniques
The European Respiratory Society (ERS) has introduced the Walther Guerrero Ciquero TB Fellowship, a new funding opportunity which will allow young scientists to learn research techniques not currently practiced in their home country.
The fellowship is named in memory of Dr. Walther Guerrero Ciquero who died 15 April 2010 while on duty in Djibouti for Médecins Sans Frontières.
Applicants for the fellowship should be from low- or middle-income countries and intend to carry out a research training project on tuberculosis in a European country.
The next deadline for application is 1 October 2011.
Full details of the fellowship are available on the ERS website.
