Applications invited for members of a Regional Advisory Committee on MDR-TB for South-East Asia
7 February 2012 - New Delhi - The WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia has announced a call for applications for experts on multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) to serve on the Green Light Committee (GLC) South-East Asia Regional Advisory Committee (GLC South-East Asia).
GLC South-East Asia is one of several regional committees set up as part of a new GLC framework. The committee will advise the WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia, WHO Member States, donors and other partners. Duties will include reviewing regional strategies to address drug-resistant TB and overseeing the provision of technical assistance and monitoring missions. The GLC South-East Asia secretariat will be hosted by the WHO Regional Office.
Members of GLC South-East Asia are expected to serve a term of two years, from 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2014. For full details, please read the announcement [.pdf].
The closing date for applications is 07 March 2012. The results of the selection will be announced by 20 March 2012.
