WHO and PATH publish updated MDR-TB Planning Toolkit

3 October 2012 - Seattle, USA - The World Health Organization (WHO) and PATH have published a new version of the MDR-TB Planning Toolkit.

The toolkit, developed with funding from the United States Agency for International Development, is designed to help countries develop or strengthen their national response to drug-resistant tuberculosis.

Materials in the toolkit cover key planning steps including convening stakeholders, developing objectives, identifying current gaps in service coverage and determining how to secure resources and monitor progress. The toolkit is aimed at countries, technical partners, international organizations, and donors.

The toolkit is available in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF formats and contains several work sheets to assist with planning.

Hard copies of the toolkit will be available at the WHO Stop TB Department booth at the World Conference on Lung Health being held from 13-17 November in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Download the toolkit from PATH’s website.
