Panos wins grant to fight TB through public engagement in Uganda

14 April 2011 - Kampala - Panos Eastern Africa has won a grant from the Welcome Trust to implement a public engagement project on TB in Uganda. The project is designed to increase the visibility of TB research in Uganda and make more information on TB available to the public.

Panos will work with TB researchers, the media, academia, civil society organizations, government policy makers and the general public to raise the profile of TB and contribute to reducing the TB burden in Uganda. In addition, by generating exposure for existing research, the project hopes to encourage further research on TB.
