TB TEAM publishes annual meeting report

23 August 2011 - Geneva - The TB Technical Assistance Mechanism (TBTEAM) has published the report of its annual meeting [.PDF]. The report summarizes key findings, conclusions and recommendations of the meeting.

The meeting, held on 22-23 June 2011 brought together 60 participants representing civil society, National TB Programmes, WHO country and regional offices, technical assistance (TA) partners, and donors.

Participants reviewed TBTEAM's new strategic direction, planned support to countries to prepare comprehensive TA plans, discussed a system for monitoring TA quality, and discussed improving support to countries for Global Fund grant preparation, negotiation and implementation.

During plenary discussion and group work, participants contributed to the finalization of the TA plan guidance paper, designed to improve national TA planning. Participants also debated the monitoring TA quality concept paper which will strengthen the quality assurance of the TA provided through TBTEAM.
