Treat TB launches website on impact assessment and policy transfer analysis
16 February 2012 - New York - TREAT TB has launched a web portal designed to introduce public health professionals and interested members of the public to an impact assessment framework created by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and policy analysis methods developed by Dr. Karen Bissell at the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union).
TREAT TB, which stands for Technology, Research, Education and Technical Assistance for TB, is an initiative of The Union which aims to contribute to new knowledge through field evaluations of diagnostic tools, clinical trials and targeted operational research.
The portal has been tailored to fit the needs of public health professionals who fund, design, implement, or use research for policy or programme implementation. As well as introducing users to the assessment framework and policy analysis, the portal includes links to published papers on these subjects.
