Working Group on New Drugs publishes strategic plan for 2011-2015
29 March 2012 - Geneva - The Stop TB Partnership’s Working Group on New Drugs (WGND) has published a strategic plan for 2011-2015. The plan is an update of the New Drugs section of the Global Plan to Stop TB: 2011-2015.
The strategic plan describes the vision of the WGND and includes details of the progress made and remaining gaps in TB drug development.
The WGND is a network of experts committed to accelerating the development of effective and affordable new therapies for TB. The WGND acts as a forum to facilitate global collaborations and joint projects for the development of new TB drugs and promotes coordination of all stakeholders in this process.
