TBVI issues call for proposals for the development of new TB vaccines
17 June 2012 - Lelystad, Netherlands - The Tuberculosis Vaccine Initiative (TBVI) has issued a call for proposals to support the development on new tuberculosis (TB) vaccines.
With a total of US$ 780 000 available for funding, TBVI will contribute up to a maximum of 75% of project costs. Proposals should focus on Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), evaluation of the toxicity and safety of new vaccine candidates and phase I clinical trials. TBVI will give priority to proposals that focus on vaccine candidates targeting HIV-negative adolescents and young adults and vaccine candidates that have the potential to block transmission.
The deadline for proposals is 11 September 2012.
