PATH and partners launch TB-themed painting contest in Vietnam

11 August 2012 - Hanoi - In an effort to advance Vietnam's fight against tuberculosis (TB), the National TB Programme, in collaboration with PATH and the Central Council of Vietnam’s Young Pioneers and with funding from the Global Fund, launched a national painting contest with the theme My dream about a TB-free Vietnam.

The painting contest aims to educate children about TB, reduce stigma and discrimination and encourage the public to advocate for better TB prevention, treatment and care, as well as sustainable funding for TB.

The national painting contest will run until the end of November, culminating in an awards ceremony and exhibition of the best paintings in Hanoi. The paintings will then be stored electronically for use in future TB campaigns.

If you are interested in learning more about the painting contest and other advocacy, communications and social mobilization activities related to TB taking place in Vietnam, please contact Dung Nguyen at dvnguyen@path.org.
