TB Alert India campaigns for zero TB deaths

29 November - Hyderabad, India - TB Alert India participated in a range of advocacy events throughout October and November to raise awareness about tuberculosis (TB) and enlist support for an end to TB deaths in India.

During the Joy of Giving week, the organization provided more than 2000 people with information about TB and collected 300 signatures on a poster calling for zero TB deaths in India.

Seven hundred more people signed the poster at the Arogya Mela, a government-organized health exhibition held in the Hyderabad suburb of Nampally from 12 to 15 October.

In November, TB Alert took part in a fundraising run in order to raise awareness about TB among the general public and 35 other participating NGOs. Staff from TB Alert India then travelled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to join a civil society march and declaration at the Union World Conference on Lung Health.
