KNCV staff win Nigerian award
28 November 2012 - Ilorin, Nigeria - KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation's Emmy van der Grinten and Gidado Mustapha have been honored with Gold Awards from Nigeria's national tuberculosis (TB) and leprosy programme for their contributions to TB and leprosy care in Nigeria.
The awards were presented at the 2012 TB and Leprosy Programme Managers Review Meeting, held in Ilorin, Kwara State, on 28-29 November 2012.
Emmy van der Grinten and Gidado Mustapha started working on TB and leprosy in Nigeria in 1999. They have since worked at both state and national levels in the country.
Dr. Lovett Lawson from Zankli Medical Centre was also honoured at the meeting with an award for his contributions as a private TB practitioner in Nigeria.
