Jim Connolly steps down as President and CEO of Aeras

31 January 2013 - Rockville, USA - Jim Connolly has stepped down as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aeras. Chief Scientific Officer Dr Tom Evans will serve as interim CEO while Aeras's Board of Directors selects a permanent successor

"I am leaving at a time of strength for the organization," Connolly said in an email. "We are financially sound, have a world class leadership team, and are implementing a strategy that supports a more diverse partnership model than historically; with a focus on developing a robust and novel pipeline of new TB vaccine candidates. I am confident that under the current team and approach we will achieve success within the coming decade."

Connolly will continue to serve on Aeras's Board of Directors.
