5 September 2017 - Geneva, Switzerland - The Stop TB Partnership is launching a call for nominations for individuals to join the TB REACH initiative’s Proposal Review Committee (PRC) in advance of its Wave 6 call for proposals.

The TB REACH PRC is an independent, impartial group of TB experts who review TB REACH grant applications and make recommendations for funding. Any individual who is engaged in the fight to end TB can apply to join the TB REACH Wave 6 PRC.

In order to apply:

The deadline for submitting applications is Sunday, 17 September 2017 at 23:59 Geneva time. The Stop TB Partnership Secretariat will review the application forms and CVs of those who applied and make selections.

About Wave 6 Call for Proposals

The Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH initiative is currently finalizing plans for the Wave 6 call for proposals. New proposals will go through a two-step process. Interested organizations must first submit a Stage 1 application which focuses on organizational capacity to implement a TB-focused project, the organization’s ability and track record to deliver against set timetables, and a description of proposed activities. PRC members will remotely review Stage 1 submissions in early 2018. Only successful Stage 1 applicants will be invited to submit a Stage 2 application which will include a more detailed description of activities, as well as targets for project yield and population-level impact. PRC members will review Stage 2 submissions in person in April 2018. Final funding decisions will be announced in May 2018. Existing Wave 5 TB REACH projects which are able to demonstrate population-level impact using TB REACH’s M&E framework will go through a separate application process in June 2018 for Wave 6 continuation funding.

About TB REACH

The Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH initiative is a multi-lateral funding mechanism which provides a platform for testing innovative strategies aimed at increasing the number of people treated for TB, decreasing the time to appropriate treatment and improving treatment success rates. It combines fast-track, results-based financing and rigorous, external monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to produce results, so other national government, the private sector and other donor agencies can scale-up successful approaches and maximize their own investments.

TB REACH has been supported by the Government of Canada since its inception in 2010. Additional funding support for this call for proposals has been provided by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID and the Indonesia Health Foundation.
