Organization Description:
We are implementing the scaling up TB/HIV activities through active participation of PHA network in two district hospitals of Chiang Mai.
-We are developing tool and looking at the process for TB screening. My concern is TB screening is not just a crossectional activity but it is a part of continuity of long term HIV care.
-TB/HIV training curriculum for PHA is also available. We have trained PHA up to the level of understanding the concept of latent TB infection and TB disease with simple Thai language that way people can understand.
-A health educational material on TB/HIV will be ready by July 2004. It is important to educate the public regarding TB and HIV but education must not create double stigma.
