Declaration of interests
The economic crisis followed by the implementation of a policy of decentralization has implications on access to health services. The CHPSS has revealed that social, economic, behavioral and political factors can influence the incidence of TB and access to health care services.

The multidimensional crisis accompanied by horizontal conflict and natural disasters has led to the existence of IDPs across Indonesia. The CHPSS foundation researched factors contributing to the resilience of the IDPs, the health system and the social system. The CHPSS foundation has tried to see the emergence of TB and its persistence amongst IDPs as part of the stress and social crises they have experienced and not merely as a medical problem. The CHPSS has given a picture of the role of the private sector in the control of TB as something important which should be factored in and enhanced by the government in the development of its program.

CHPSS would like to continue the involvement toward researches and health system developments, to contribute to the TB control improvement in Indonesia and to provide lessons learnt for other developing countries with TB problems. We have already shared our study results to the donors and national decision makers who work on TB in Indonesia, but we would also like to share our study results to the broader community, regionally and internationally. We hope to join the Stop TB partnership, so that we could foster our working network in TB at the global scale.
