Organization Description:
CIBERES (Networked Centre for Biomedical Research on Respiratory Diseases) is an institution, launched in 2007, funded by Instituto de Salud Carlos III, part of the Spanish Ministry of Science & Innovation. It is aimed at combating respiratory diseases by means of supporting both basic, applied and clinical research.
More than 400 researchers from all over the country, working on 172 research projects, belong to CIBERES. These projects deal with lung cancer, apnea, pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, acute lung injury, tuberculosis, pneumonia, COPD and new therapeutic targets.
