Organization Description:
Health and Development Initiative-India is a small size not-for-profit- organisation, which is engaged in supporting and advocating the cause of TB control in India. We share the objectives of Stop TB Partnership towards building partnerships for action against one of the world’s most devastating diseases. We also share its mission that every TB patient has access to TB treatment and cure, vulnerable populations are protected from TB and social and economic toll that TB exerts on families, communities, and nations are reduced. We wish that country level partnerships were also established. We have been trying to bring together the various organizations working in India by highlighting their work and achievements through our newsletter and website.

We hope to contribute to Partnership’s work by supporting its activities in India by generating awareness amongst civil society about need for rapid expansion of quality DOTS services in the country and building a political, administrative and professional support base for Revised National tuberculosis Control Programme.
