Organization Description:
World Vision International supports TB control program in several countries accross the globe. The goal is to expand and intensify DOTS approach in collaboration with the National TB Programs aligning with the STOP TB Partnership. WV adds value through strong community based approach, bringing active community participation and involvement in local TB actvities. Projects have organised community care gorups which provide local advocay, care and support for the TB patients and their families. World Vision has HIV/AIDS prevention and care program in 75 countries and recognises the dual burden of TB & HIV and promotes a collaboravtive TB/HIV approach in their programs. WV has intense focus on child health and mortality reduction. A call to action for addressing childhood TB has been prepared and dissemniated through internal venues and through partner orgnizations. Future projects to address childhood TB management are in the pipeline
