A number of the initiatives of Christian Medical Association of India in the past have been pioneering in nature starting with the family programs, community programs for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and substance abuse. It has also always given priority to the BIMAROU belt and is presently focusing on the concerns of Chotanagpur, MP, Chattisgarh and the North East geographical areas. Keeping apace with the transition in health and emerging needs and challenges.
The Christian Medical Association of India is a Registered voluntary society. The Official health arm of the National Council of Churches in India (NCCI) has over 350 institutional members - hospitals, health centers, community health programs and 2 medical colleges - Christian Medical College Vellore and Christian Medical College Ludhiana. |
