Afro Global Alliance Ghana is one of the leading NGOs in TB control in Ghana. Currently we are co-hosting the National Stop TB Partnership in Ghana, implementing Global Fund projects on TB, and have also initiated programmes to support the country's programme and beyond. The Global TB Candlelight Meditation GTBCM is major advocacy platform and campaign movement that supports the country programme.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

TB Care Delivery:
since 2004, through the training of over 460 community volunteers in Ghana, Afro Global Alliance has made tremendous progress in the above area till date as the volunteers supervise treatment to make sure the obvious gap associated with DOTS is closed.

Drug-Resistant TB:
Through our initiation of TB Voice Network Ghana in 2006, an association of cured TB patients Afro Global Alliance has been in the forefront of advocating for completed treatment course to prevent drug-resistant TB.

TB-HIV:
Afro Global Alliance projects on TB or HIV are all geared towards building synergies of the two diseases and this we have done so well in the past 9 years and present in Ghana and Nigeria.
