DOTS Expansion and Enhancement: World Vision Indonesia assisted the government by implementing CIDA funded Food Integrated to Hinder Tuberculosis (FIGHT) project from 2000 to 2006 in 5 districts of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province,. The objective of the FIGHT Project was to: a) Improve and sustain quality Directly Observed Treatment Short course TB program management, b) Increase participation and commitment of District Governments and TB DOTS implementers in TB control program, and c) Enhance community participation in improving a sustainable community-based TB control program. The FIGHT TB project continued withh the TB BERKAT Project implemented in 4 ADPs in NTT (Rote, TTU, Sumba and Alor) from October 2008 to December 2010. The aim of this project was for the community to have improved health seeking behaviour and compliance for TB DOTS services through establishing TB community coalition group |
