Organization Description:
Although Central and State governments in India have initiated several development programmes for the poor and other vulnerable groups in terms of educational promotion and poverty alleviation yet the massive efforts were not enough to yield the required results in view of the magnanimity of the problem. Unless social and voluntary action is galvanized in this regard it would be difficult to promote awareness through education and eradicate poverty and provide equal opportunities of development for every citizen in the country. This emotion and commitment gave birth to Adithya Educational Academy, in the year 1989, to concentrate initially on promote awareness among public in general and the vulnerable sections in particular through accessing opportunities and later on undertaking development programmes for the same.
In the initial phase, the organization had remained merely as welfare society to promote education among the poor. However, the last half a decade witnessed a vigorous spurt of activities in terms of economic development activities also.

Population of our target area are prone to TB due to their habits. The prevalence of TB was found high while we are executing HIV/AID interventions in this area. So we are interested to aware the people on TB too.

At present we are undertaking only awareness generation activities since we are not technically good enough to undertake other type of interventions.
