| National Center for Tuberculosis Control and Prevention is a speacial institute for tuberculosis control in China. It is responsible for the implementation of national TB control program(NTP) in China. Specifically, it is responsible for program/project planning, development of technical guidelines, training, surveillance, research, program monitoring and evaluation,laboratory reference and international collaboration. It's vision is to be the domestically and internationally recognized authority in TB and other related fields. From 2002, we have been carrying out several projects including WB/DFID China TB control project, Japan-assisted China TB control project, DFB China TB control project, CIDA-WHO China TB control project ,GFATM projects and Gates Foundation TB project. We are integrating all individual projects into NTP as a whole with most reasonable and effective allocation of various resources and proper management. In addition,We have begun our MDR-TB control and prevention program by Globe Fund'surpport and do research on MDR-TB diagnosis, treatment and management by Gates Foundation surport. But we still need more funding to fight the MDR-TB. |

DOTS Expansion and Enhancement: Change the mode to TB srvice, let hospoital play an important role in TB control and prevntion. Drug-Resistant TB: MDR-TB diagnosis,treatment and management TB-HIV: early TB diagnosis to HIV and AIDS patient, early HIV detection to TB patient Laboratory Strengthening: laboratory reference, resaerch etc. New Diagnostics: rearch some new diagnosis regent. New TB Drugs: Begin to use some new TB drugs to treatment MDR-TB patient. New TB Vaccines: Try the second clinical test to a new TB Vaccine. Fundamental Research: have do some research in Diagnosis, vaccine and TB drugs. Operational Research: have been done a lot of operational research about TB control and prevention. |
