| IDC is a manufacturer of digital x-ray technology. that hopes to decrease the cost of high speed digital x-ray making it affordable for those who really need it. IDC has succeeded in taking typical detector costs using other technologies down from hundreds of thousands of dollars to less than $20,000. IDC has over 2700 systems installed in 45 countries. At these levels, we are now seeing adoption of our detectors for mobile screening vans. Deployment of these screening systems should be of huge value in the fight against TB. We hope to extend this to CAD allowing for high accuracy automatic TB detection without the need for a radiologist. At less than 10 seconds per person a mobile could scan all the people in a village and diagnose active TB with few errors allowing for immediate follow-up. | |

| Declaration of interests: Our company is a for-profit corporation and will benefit financially from selling mobile screening systems. The conflict of interest is not large however as we would likely make more money from selling the same systems to wealthy hospitals and clinics in the West. Our primary drive for this initiative is good corporate citizenship. | |
