Organization Description:
KVHS is an association of 147 charitable hospitals and other health delivery institutions in the state. It is federated to the Voluntary health Association of India, New Delhi. This organization is basically stands for promoting health a reality to the people in the state. Since its inception in 1971, it has been striving towards the goal of providing health for the people of Kerala. It is to the credit of Kerala VHS, that it has been able to maintain constant touch with the grass root level health and social development organizations in the state. In 1988, the Ministry of Health and Family welfare appointed KVHS as the Mother NGO to implement various projects. The following are the important projects of KVHS.

Kerala VHS is focussed much on Tobacco Control Efforts.TB is closely related with Smoking.We are in partnership with 'International Union" who work for the lung Health.We are also working for No Spitting Zones, Smoke Free ZONES etc.We are the member in the state High Level Committe on Health Promotion.
