UNGAN FAMILY PRACTICE is an affiliated office of Duzen Laboratory Group, where they occupy the 3rd floor and we the 4th floor of the same building, our family practice is able to offer many services to our patients. Our facility is able to perform physical examinations and various evaluations through Duzen Laboratory; We have pathology laboratory services especially for evaluation of Tuberculosis (TST test, Chest X-Ray, sputum smear, LJ Culture, DST), cervical (vaginal) smear samples and Tetra tone audiometer (hearing screening) and the Snellen vision tests (vision screening). Pre-employment health screening, and annual vision and health screening for drivers and food handlers at embassies and various companies are some of our regular services. We have all kinds of immunization (vaccination) facilities. We have been screening immigrant and refugees for the foreign embassies and international organizations. We are participants in the CME activities of the Immigrant, Refugee, and Migrant Health Branch, Division of Global Migration and Quarantine (DGMQ) for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),USA.

We perform mainly a predefined TB screening program in Ankara, Turkey(designed and updated by Immigrant, Refugee, and Migrant Health Branch Division of Global Migration and Quarantine Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta). Those applicants for US immigration in the region are coming to Ankara or going to Istanbul for the medical screening before theri interview in h Embassy. At this point we diagnose/identify Latent TB, suspected TB cases, inactive or active TB cases and forward them to the DOT treatment centers making sure that they certify their proper treatment before they continue to their immigration process. The population is consisting of Turkish Iranian and Iraqi applicants. |
