| AquaBioChip Genomics is newly established Company working in the intersection of genomics, microfluidics and health. Since its inception in October 2007 it has established a cutting edge molecular biology lab in Uttar Pradesh (a state with large number of TB cases) established LAMP assay in our lab, acquired and tested primers for TB genotypes. | |

Drug-Resistant TB: Through the support from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, are engaged in developing a low cost device and assay for MDR/XDR TB. The project is expected to be completed in 3 years. For clinical validation, we are partnering with the local hospital engaged in TB treatment. TB-HIV: We are also engaged in negotiations with a US company to license us their device for measuring viral load in a point-of-care setting. At present the equipment to carry out HIV viral load during treatment are scarce and not available broadly. Laboratory Strengthening: We have significant molecular biology related equipment and capabilities in the state of Uttar Pradesh which can be used for many other diseases, if need be. New Diagnostics: We are also working on low cost diagnostics for Dengue and a number of other diseases prevalent in India. Fundamental Research: In collaboration with a US company and in partnership with local academic institution, we are also engaged in developing a centralized healthcare platform for rural India. |
