MISSION: To mitigate the impact of physical, social and economic effect of HIV, TB, Malaria and other public health issues within the communities.

Advocates for Health and Development Initiative (AHDi) a Non-Organization set to bring hope to the less-privileges by making ready information on how to explore opportunities and also identify with people living with HIV and other terminal diseases such as Tuberculosis, Malaria and other public health issues. This organization was established in 28th August 2006.

Please tell us how your organization is contributing to your country's national TB control plan:
(1) As an organization, we sensitize our community on how to assess TB treatment and we also pass information that TB treatment is free. We have trained community volunteers who refer TB suspect for test.
(2) The organization is currently serving as a Lead TB CBO on the Community Systems Strengthening component of the Global Fund Round 9 Phase 2 Health Systems Strengthening project in Nigeria.
(3) AHDi is also a member of the Nigerian Stop TB Partnership.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

Drug-Resistant TB:
We have been able to report situation of extortion in the a General Hospital in Nigeria in 2010. This are issues that leads to people not completing their treatment after two months when they feel better.

TB-HIV:
We are member of Ogun state TB-HIV working group and we contribute in discussions on how to move the group forward.
