Description The NGO Stop Tuberculosis BOUAKE is composed of people affected by TB or engaged in the fight against tuberculosis, regardless of gender, race, nationality, ethnicity or religion. The National Program against Tuberculosis (NTP) has appealed to the community, to address the increase in cases that exceed the capacity of specialist services. DOTS Expansion and Enhancement: Activities: - DOTS strategies with patients of pulmonary TB smear positive - Training of officers and NGOs on tuberculosis, - Raising awareness about TB +, - Psychosocial support - Advocacy Community involvement in the fight against tuberculosis, Training Advisors Community Upgrading community volunteers, community mobilization, public awareness, distribution of printed materials on TB, Permanence in TB health facilities, Interpersonal Communication, Addressing to organizations of care providing, awareness by the means of media world, Organization of International days, Supervision of treatment, distribution of food packages, medical support to poor, Organization of discussion groups, Accommodation of villagers or rejected in the house of transit, financial support to the poor, income-generating activities Accomplishments: From 2009 to 2010, 3,000 people have been sensitized on TB. V new cases of smear-positive pulmonary TB are cured. A well equipped and broad headquarter host patients. A house transit hosts rejected and TB suspects. From 2010 to date, 203 people are cured of pulmonary tuberculosis smear-positive,127 TB patients were screening for HIV / AIDS, 118 PHAs have the TB screening, 330 new TB patients have understood the link between HIV and tuberculosis, 412 direct or indirect beneficiaries were informed, 99 patients are not hiding anymore to take the medication, 55 people living with HIV who took TB and HIV medicines have adhered to the two treatments, 460 people were sent to the TB Center for screening.
