The “Partnership for Tuberculosis Care and Control in India” (the Partnership) brings together civil society across the country on a common platform to support and strengthen India’s national TB control efforts. It seeks to harness the strengths and expertise of partners in various technical and implementation areas, and to empower affected communities, in TB care and control. It consists of technical agencies, non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, affected communities, the corporate sector, professional bodies and academia. |

The Partnership is the largest civil society partnership which is recognized as THE civil society organization in the country. The NTP have invited the partnership to contribute to its health policy planning for the next 5 years and have included its members into the working groups for the plan. The NTP is also a standing invitee in the Steering committee meeting. It is also instrumental in getting the GF Round 9 for ACSM for civil societies and is working in collaboration with the government. |

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below: |
TB Care Delivery: The Partnership mainly involves ACSM as its main functions. Advocacy is done via the Secretariat and Steering committee with the program, technical partners , politicians, international partners and so on. The Partners from the partnership have also been working on advocacy issues and are varied in nature. Communication is a key for our work as we have sharing of experiences and work among partners and other stakeholders as well. We use channels like emails, telephone,newsletter, face book , twitter and most importantly via the website. Social mobilisation is being done by involving community based organizations , affected communities, media in promoting the community ownership of the program.
Drug-Resistant TB: We have partners in the Partnership working on these issues.
TB-HIV: We have partners in the Partnership working on these issues.
Laboratory Strengthening: We have partners in the Partnership working on these issues.
New Diagnostics: We have partners in the Partnership working on these issues.
New TB Drugs: We have partners in the Partnership working on these issues.
