Organization Description:
The Singapore Anti-tuberculosis Association (or SATA) was established in 1947 by a group of philanthropists and doctors to contain Tuberculosis (TB) during the post-war years. Through its prevention and treatment programmes, TB became less of a public health threat in subsequent decades.

Over time, SATA extended its outpatient service to treat heart diseases and it also became a leading provider of statutory health screening and primary healthcare services.

SATA was renamed to SATA CommHealth in 2009 to reinforce its commitment to enhancing the community’s health. Its new mission to promote lifelong health and serve the community is facilitated through its fully equipped medical centres in Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Jurong and Woodlands. In addition to treating acute illnesses, these centres also render diagnostic services like fluoroscopy, mammography and screenings for thyroid, coronary risk and abnormality in liver and kidney functions

SATA CommHealth continually upgrades its human capital, systems and facilities and engages diverse stakeholders in the healthcare chain to help build an integrated healthcare system in Singapore.
