Organization Description:
Esther Thelfid Foundation is a helpline foundation for families in distress.ETF's target group are women, youth and children.She works in the area of health[malaria, HIV/AIDS, TB, Sickle Cell, Reproductive health, etc], education and economic empowerment.ETF duly registered with the corporate affairs office of The Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2007, but has been on the ground since 2005.ETF partners with the Federal Ministry of health, Women Affairs, Education, Youth and Culture, donor agencies like global funds,world bank, UNDP, society for family health, CEDPA, other local NGO's, CBO's,FBO's, and other civil society organizaions.

ETF is interested in TB because in our support group, the People living with HIV/AIDs are easily affected by TB, and managing it is not so easy.ETF is concerned and wants a situation whereby TB will no longer be a threat to the lives of some of the members of our support group that are living with HIV/AIDS.

ETF is right now part of the team from Nigeria National Agency Against AIDS, doing Data Quality Control[DQA] with hospitals,health facilities and support groups that access, ART, HCT, TB medication etc in the Federal Territory Abuja.

ETF right now is working in two communities within Bwari Area Council [Katempe 11, and Karu in Amac Area council on TB prevention and also providing care for the PLWA'S.ETF is also mentoring the youths in these communities on how to reduce stigma and be agents of change especially on keeping healthy life behaviours.

TB-HIV:
ETF is part of the synergy going on in NIGERIA on how to integrate all organizations working on HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB.ETF has been engaging on community mobilizations as well as proving home base care for our clients living with HIV and TB. This year 2011 we have done three community out reaches from February to August.
