Organization Description:
Hope for positive couples in Nigeria is a non-profit,non-religious and non-governmental organisation of couples living with HIV/AIDS and TB in Nigeria.Our VISION is to see a Nigerian Society where couples living with HIV/AIDS and TB are cared for not stigmatised or discriminated against but are given equal rights and opportunities.Our MISSION isto contribute to the prevention, care and control of HIV/AIDS and TB in Nigeriaand also advocating legal and policy reforms and empowering members to get more involved in HIV/AIDS and TB activities.Our GOAL is to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS and TB on the couples and individuals infected with it and people affected by it including vulnerable children. The Organisation is interested in tuberculosis because most of the members have one time or the other been infected with TB bacilli.We are well informed about it and most of our activities is to assign some members to various DOT Centres and especially the STATE CHEST HOSPITAL,Jericho, Ibadan to deliver talks on TB and related issues.

HOPOC as an organization has been involved in so many TB activities which contributes to the control plan of TB such as *Community TB care *Social Community Mobilisation on TB *Community Dialogue Meetings *Referal of TB suspects for screening.etc

TB Care Delivery:
like i said, HOPOC have conducted many advocacy visits to gatekeepers at various communities on TB which most of the time we got approval communications and social mobilisations with positive results

TB-HIV:
HOPOC as an organization of couples living with HIV & AIDS. Many of our members includind myself the E Director have also experienced TB-HIV co-infections which gave us more oppotunities to be commited in the work.Thiese activities is not limited to our organisation but extend it to other parts of Oyo State and Nigeria. However,i am the current TB state Coordinator.

The organisation is hereby declare with interest to be registered with Global Partnership to stop TB and have agreed to abide with its policy.HOPOC will continue to work harder in making sure that we partners with other stop TB organisations in the country and Globally.
