National Institute of Unani Medicine is an autonomous organisation under ministry of health and family welfare,AYUSH,and is a research and PG Institute of Unani Medicine Where the scolars persue their degree and do research on various disorder including TB and take Unani drug as a main drug as well as an Adjuvants.Adjuvants are the drugs that can be assumed to increase the efficacy of the standard drug ,improve the immune status and reduce the drug resistance and side-effects of the therapy.Moreover these are also helpful in treating the complication developed during the therapy.DOTS unit is attached with RNTCP and is running since more than six years

Our organisation is attached with RNTCP and having DOTS refferal centre where diagnosis is made as per the DOTS protocol.We have X-Ray and other well equiped,lab facilities.Sputum is being collected and transported to designated microscopy centre(DMC).We do organise weekly awareness programm for the IPD and OPD for all diseases including Diabetes,HIV,and esp. TB awreness programme in a serialized manner.Time to time we sensitize our PG scholars and health staff about Updated DOTS and RNTCP strategies.Our Institute also Organise departmental Re-Orientation and Traing Programmes(ROTP/TOT),CME,Worksops etc in which we always keep a TB-talk.

DOTS Expansion and Enhancement:
Conducting DOTS awareness program about the therapy ,cure and compliance and providing ATT to the allotted area and provisional kit till the patient get the DOTS from their nearest center and running sputum referral center
