Organization Description:
CHEDCOM is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Abuja Nigeria. The Organisation works in the underserved rural communities on health issues with special focus on advocacy, communication and social mobilization on TB prevention. Diagnostic services are carried out at the headoffice as well.
The organisation is interested in working on TB due to the co-infection observed with our HIV+ patients during diagnosis.
CHEDCOM is planning to create massive awareness at the rural communities about TB,its causes and need for regular Diagnosis; This it hopes to implement using a variety of communication strategies, including engagement of the media for supply and support for treatment.

TB Care Delivery:
Contribute to early diagnosis through expansion of TBREACH activities in hard to reach rural communities of South Western Nigeria

TB-HIV:
contribute to early detection at our Laboratory by ensuring that all those who come to know their HIV Status are screened for TB, and prompt referal made. This will be implemented at Lagos, Nigeria by 2015

Laboratory Strengthening:
contribute to objective 1 by employing qualified personnel and re-training of all existing Lab staff on current diagnostic methods at the Lab in our Lagos office by 2013
