Commitment to realizing community whose various category members are free from dehumanizing conditions with the reduced impact of poverty, HIV/AIDS, TB stigma, discrimination, children, youth, women through improved education, research and training.
The principal goal of program in Somalia is to alleviate poverty by building the capacity of the community to meet their livelihood needs through:
• Intensive agriculture for food security (domestic and export) Somalia.
• Fight against TB, HIV/AIDS epideictic in the region.
We interest in tuberculosis because it is a killing disease in the third world, specially in our region Somalia, where the people have no idea about T.B. many of them do not hear about the word T.B. and we know that Somalia is one of the countries with high morbidity and mortality of T.B in the world. In addition, the Somali situation is so bad. There is no health system working. No sanitation. No education. Even if the doctors suspect about the T.B cases, there are no secure lab tests or perfect treatments as DOTs.
As the T.B eradication is one of our goals, we interest in cooperating with the concerned organizations.
Our activities in T.B control mostly focus on: educating people about the T.B disease, route of transmission and how to avoid it, educating the people about some ways of prevention such as T.B vaccination for newborns, we plan to establish a T.B centre for surveillance and early detection of T.B and accurate treatment, also for rehabilitation.
