SOFEN (Somali Formal Education Network) is an education umbrella registered in Somalia and established in 26 JUN 2004. It seeks to improve the educational opportunities for Somalia’s children (through schools) and adults (through vocational education). It operates over 55 schools with enrolments 21,821 students. SOFEN also have 22 emergence education schools in mogadishu and Afgoe,SECTORS IN OPERTION:
• Education and nutrition for IDP/s camps • Hygiene and sanitation programs • Preaching against HIV/AIDS and FGM • Promotion of education through training • Income generation for marginalized sections of the community • Resettlement agency • Provision of health TB facilities and services • Rehabilitation of infrastructure and social amenities e.g. Schools and M.C.H • Community youth rehabilitation • Distribution agents
