we are an NGO in Health and National development programs and we are based in Ghana. we work in the communities and come into contact with the grass root community members. we also work with youth and women farmers who are poor and have a lot of health related as well as financial issues. TB/HIV is one of the paramount issues we come across in the form of neglect and stigmatization. we want to be able to help with education, sensitization, community mobilization on stigma, IEC distribution, mentoring existing TB patience for good drug adherence and sputum collection for case detection. We are already in TB education in the community and schools.

we do in school and community TB education and detection. We coordinate with health centers for sputum collection and visit to defaulters.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

DOTS Expansion and Enhancement:
Since 2006 to date MGM has reached well over 10,000 people with programs in TB education, detection and sputum collection to create awareness on TB infection and anti stigma issues.
We will continue to collaborate with our National TB Control Program and health facilities to bring help our communities.

TB-HIV:
MGM work and collaborate with donor agencies to implement TB/HIV projects in well over 15 communities each month in Ghana. We wish to continue and extend our services to more communities.
