Organization Description:
Youth Development and Rural Empowerment Foundation - YODREF is a non-sectarian, non-political non-governmental organisation set-up established in 2000 and incorporated in 2003 under the Companies Code of 1963 (Act 199)Ghana as a Company Limited by guarantee.
The organisation started out of a genuine concern to improve the health and socio-economic status of rural families, particularly children, youth and women in self-development. As a matter of fact, TB has been on the increase due to the fact that people suffering from the ailment have not completed the treatment regime hence the relapse of many of them. We have identified many of such cases and we believe that we can team up with all stakeholders to campaign and help address the problem.
We currently assist the Ghana Health Service in social mobilisation and refer new cases to the District Health Directorate for attention and assistance.
