1. Munna Ndi Nnyi? (Who is the Real Man?) is a leading non-profit organisation providing a range of vital services throughout the the Vhembe District, Limpopo Province. Established in 1997, to engage men in dialogue and leadership on the issue of gender based violence in the community, Munna Ndi Nnyi’s? strategic programs have since expanded to include Health Promotion, Victim Empowerment, Home and Community Based Care, Culture and Health and a Drop-in Centre for orphaned and vulnerable children.
Munna Ndi Nnyi? is committed to empowering the community to health and wellbeing through community education, outreach and innovative partnerships for change.
2. Tuberculosis is one of the top 10 leading causes of death in the Vhembe District where Munna Ndi Nnyi? primarily operates. Through both our Health Promotion and Home and Community Based Care programs, Munna Ndi Nnyi? provides vital information on TB prevention, management, treatment and care, including the provision of DOTs.
3. Munna Ndi Nnyi? is working to develop its' capacity as a front-line communinity care organisation so that we can develop and provide evidence-based programs for primary health care interventions that use front-line community carers and health promoters to take health care and provide health education to communities where they live.
