SINZA Youth Peer Educators is a non governmental non profit making non political denomination but voluntary organization established in2003 and become legally registered in 3.February 2006 with the registration No 00NGO/0620. With Mission of improving quality of life for the Children, Youth and people living with HIV/AIDS.
Organization was started as supportive group after realizing the alarming rate of HIV/AIDS problems which is currently affect all sectors in Tanzania including Health, Education, and Economic. SIYOPE has special focus on issues of HIV/AIDS Counseling on youth , ART, Advocacy for treatment literacy., creation of awareness onVCT/CTC services, Life skills for the youth., care and support. For young people living with HIV/AIDS in particular
SINZA Youth Peer Educators in Tanzania has undertaken mainstreaming HIV/AIDS into its capacity building in HIV/AIDS prevention, reproductive health, care and support working with children, youth in and out of school and people living with HIV/AIDS. We are interested in tuberclosisin order to complementing Government of Tanzania and globally as whole to address the gap through a sensitization program on improved access to prevention and treatment of TB /HIV care services Future planning to do for TB control The organisation plans to do following:
Strengthen the capacity of Young Positives at the grassroots communities of Ilemela, Nyamagana and Misungwi Districts in a period of 12 months to continuously advocated for integration of TB/HIV services in the available Health centre by year 2011
Support the formation of a TB support group and a forum where youth and TB/HIV treatment providers and community leader meet regularly to discuss TB, /HIV emerging issues and challenges.
Enhance Young Positives ’ skills to effectively engage with policy makers, funders, and researchers to address and incorporate community priorities around TB/HIV as well as mobilize community around TB/HIV, and leverage resources to facilitate the sustainabil |
