Organization Description:
rbmaws works on a range of health and development issues in Uttar Pradesh state of India. rbmaws has developed a TB patients' group in Ganga rampur village, mathura district and mobilized media (The Hindustan Times) to do a story on lapses in TB care and control from patient's perspective. The news published in The amar uojala, rang the bell of authorities and a new DOTS centre was opened in the village to reduce the journey of TB patients or TB suspects and others.

rbmaws is also a partner of AIDS Care Watch (ACW) which raises awareness of people living with HIV on life-extending options and TB prevention (IPT for children less than 6 years) and treatment and care is the focus of the campaign

Goal
To dramatically reduce the global burden of TB by 2015 in line with the Millennium Development Goals and the Stop TB Partnership targets

Achieve universal access to high-quality care for all people with TB

Reduce the human suffering and socioeconomic burden associated with TB

Protect vulnerable populations from TB, TB/HIV and multidrug-resistant TB
