1. MIHO is working in Preventive Healthcare by providing vaccination services in the four districts of KPK. Fundamentally participating in GoP EPI Program by providing human resources for out-reach activities.
The strategy of MIHO is to provide trained EPI Technicians and some logistics reinforcement to the District Health Department.
2. Since the inception of MIHO's operational activities, TB is part of MIHO's routine and campaign vaccinations.
3. In the year 2010-11 MIHO administered 265981 number of vaccinations out of which number for TB is 23326.

MIHO is working in close collaboration with GoP EPI Program at district level in KPK. MIHO is working in Swat, Dir Upper, Dir Lower & Chitral. National EPI program is covering BCG, and MIHO being part of it, has already administered 23326 vaccinations for the year 2010-11 in the four districts.

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

DOTS Expansion and Enhancement:
Due to certain social barriers which our EPITs face in their vaccination activities, MIHO always conduct social mobilisation sessions in the areas of rejection and defaulters. Ground work is initiated at union council level by involving the local influentials. Meeting with community elders is finalised by the field staff. Finally, sessions & follow-up sessions are conducted in the presence of MIHO social mobiliser. Recently, in the union council of Kalkot, Dir Upper, KPK MIHO got succeeded in converting the denials/refusals at 6 villages level to confirmed vaccinations. WHO also appreciated MIHO's mobilisations efforts in this regard.
