Laboratory Infrastructure Solutions (LIS) presents the Zamlab Containerised Tuberculosis Laboratory (CTL)
Laboratory Infrastructure Solutions (LIS) presents itself as partner in the quest for practical outcomes to laboratory challenges. The scope of these challenges is diverse and ranges from laboratory infrastructure design to health, safety and quality management programmes. We have the knowledge and experience to assist in the development of ISO 17025, ISO 15189 and ISO 9001 standards and their implementation. The focus of our expertise is to deliver applicable, quality assured assistance with measurable improvement initiatives in the health laboratory environment. So, what is the CTL? It is an independently operational, rapid deployment laboratory. The unit is equipped with the facilities to have a functioning laboratory in record time. The laboratory is housed in a refurbished shipping container with its inherent strength, security and transportability, requiring minimal site preparation.
When the twelve meter ‘high cube’ shipping container is delivered to LIS, it is appropriately equipped and finished. Aspects such as ergonomical considerations; the distribution of air flow through out the container; the amount of pressurisation in a specific area and special fitments are attended to. If specified, the fitment of gas lines and water purification units are incorporated into the assignment. Furnishings are permanently installed and secured so when the unit passes our final inspection, it is a containerized laboratory that only needs to be shipped and placed at the required site to be operational.
The LIS team prides itself in delivering on safety and health requirements with the current product rated as a bio-safety level 3 Laboratory. We provide a turn-key solution. From the designing and finalising of detailed plans and specifications in close collaboration with our client, to the selection of suitable and durable fitments, to the manufacturing and the deployment of the CTL, we ar |

Our product package makes logistical and business sense and contributes to predictable service and optimal research quality.
These are the perspectives that LIS has opened up to you: • LIS combines the implementation of quality laboratory systems with quality laboratory environments. • The CTL is ideally suited to environments where normal construction processes and quality are unpredictable and costly. As with infrastructure risks, operational quality systems are often one of the biggest, but often most elusive, contributors to service failure. • The CTL product offers predictability and reliability. • The CTL is often regarded as equipment, and not infrastructure, allowing it to be disconnected and relocated to a different site should local circumstances dictate such a move. • LIS is the ideal partner to accompany you through the process of implementing a new laboratory service or scaling up on an existing service. • CTL offers a clean, ready made environment that deploys on minimal site preparation of services: plinth, water, electricity and drainage – we help you to plan the process. • The CTL is a robust African solution develpoed under African conditions |
