1. About Organization: Universal Versatile Society of India is registered Non Government Organization on the track last seven years. After doing awesome progress in book publishing on Rural Development and working on computer field our team swing towards CAP (Computer Awareness’ Program) for school project. By seizing the assistance from local government we had undertaken lot of schools with CAP and expand our boundaries up to 12 schools and 25 teachers. Meanwhile iEARN (International Education and Resource Network) affiliates our project. After successful completion of iEARN’s ‘My Dream School Project’, ‘Eye-to-Eye Project’, ‘Village-Appeals For Whiz Age Project’ we got international recognition and thus, UVSI come into existence with the theme of Education and Rural Development. Our society was registered on 30/06/05 under Registered No-Mah/514/05.
2. Why we are interested in tuberculosis: We are working in that part of rural India where farmer's suicide plight is still continuing. Our community is struggling for basic needs so health issue is always disregarded. Percentage of tobacco chewing ("Guthka"), Bidi (cigaratte) smoking, etc. in youth is now a days multiplying and similarly the people suffering with TB, lung diseases, etc is increasing considerably. Due to illetracy and poverty peoples are not aware about treatment on TB. Even in present era peoples are considering TB as exacerbate disease having no treatment exist to cure. So I want to switch over to this issue and make the people aware about the fact.
3. What you are doing or planning to do for TB control. Bring awareness amongst the people about health issue, particularly about TB as this disease is becoming the one of the killer disease in our area. It is necessary to tell the people about evil effect of smoking, tobacco chewing, use of DOTs etc is also needed. Through advocacy, health check up camps, sensitizing peoples through different programs, advertising in school, colleges etc. is our main emphasis to control the TB. As don' |
